About the Role

As a Research Data Scientist at Meta, you will:

• Develop pragmatic, scalable, and statistically rigorous solutions for large-scale web, mobile, and data infrastructure challenges.
• Utilize and innovate on top of Meta's unmatched data infrastructure using advanced statistical and machine learning methodologies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define problems, collect data, build analytical models, and make well-informed recommendations.
• Create and manage data driven optimization models, experiments, forecasting algorithms, and machine learning models.
• Employ tools such as Python, R, Hadoop, & SQL to drive efficient analytics.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to drive decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• A PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Machine Learning, Statistics, or other data analysis tools and techniques.
• Skills in performing data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and presentation for medium to large datasets.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or C++.
• Experience writing SQL queries and using scientific computing and analysis packages like NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and others.
• Knowledge of statistical methods and data visualization libraries.
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries and packages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras.

Compensation and Benefits

Meta offers a highly competitive salary range from $176,865 to $196,900 per year, plus bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. Specific compensation is based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
