We invite applications for a Research Fellow position specializing in AI and Machine Learning at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. This is a full-time position with a funding duration of over one year.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of vision-based object detection and tracking modules for applications in Space Situational Awareness.
• Design learning-based algorithms for orbit determination and propagation, image processing, enhancement, and experimental validation.

Job Requirements

• PhD in AI, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong background in deep learning, machine learning, and/or image processing.
• Preferably experienced in space-based research, including orbit determination and propagation.
• Excellent communication skills and capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to contribute to journal and conference papers with strong presentation skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
