About the Role

As a Robotics Demo Designer, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our ROS-enabled products to both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll collaborate closely with our Marketing, Engineering, Product, and Sales teams, and industry partners to develop innovative technical marketing content such as engaging robot demos, proof-of-concept designs, and compelling YouTube-style videos. You may also represent Clearpath as a technical evangelist at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create technical content such as robot demos, videos, webinars, tutorials, guides, technical white papers, and conference presentations.
  • Develop engaging YouTube-style videos to connect with our technical audience.
  • Coordinate and create unique product demos for marketing videos, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to brainstorm and develop creative marketing campaigns, content strategies, events, and activities.
  • Liaise with technical partners for strategic co-marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design demo products and applications, including 3D-printed mechanical parts, electronic component integration, ROS software development, and Web UI enhancement.
  • Generate tutorials for Clearpath’s robots and software by creating examples yourself.
  • Maintain engagement with our community of researchers and professionals by demonstrating and communicating larger innovations.
  • Create professional-grade renders of our products.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • BASc in engineering with software and robotics experience, or equivalent.
  • Experience in developing demos, tutorials, webinars, videos, and technical collateral.
  • Proficiency in robotics software frameworks, especially Linux, ROS, C++, or Python.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable appearing on-camera and presenting content.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with tools like MoveIt, RViz, Gazebo, MATLAB, Qt, and C/C#.
  • Proficiency in Sphinx and LaTex documentation generators.
  • Understanding of B2B marketing elements, including social media (YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn), email marketing, SEO, and content marketing.
  • Experience with sensors, hardware, and integration of basic electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
