Intel's Technology Development Component Research (TD CR) team is at the forefront of semiconductor and packaging technology innovation. We are actively searching for a Semiconductor Research Engineer to contribute to our cutting-edge exploratory memory and analog circuit design projects in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Semiconductor Research Engineer, you will:

  • Design emerging memory circuits and CMOS analog circuits.
  • Develop CMOS and non-CMOS based digital circuits, subsystems, and full chip designs including logic design, RTL, simulation, placement-and-routing, and timing/power analysis.
  • Collaborate with the physical design team to achieve optimal timing, area, and power targets.
  • Conduct functional verification and lab tests of circuits.
  • Focus your efforts on innovative circuits for emerging memory types, enhancing your skills in scientific analysis, problem-solving, and synthesis of simulation and experimental data.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A PhD in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience, including PhD research related to solid-state materials, devices, and circuits.
  • Experience in memory circuit design (SRAM/RRAM/MRAM/FE-RAM) and CMOS analog circuit design.
  • Hands-on expertise in software-hardware co-design using CMOS or emerging technologies for advanced algorithms implementation.
  • Proven ability in digital IP or ASIC/SoC design, validation, design-for-test with RTL and associated tools, and prototype simulation in Verilog/RTL or FPGA.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will also demonstrate:

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor physics and CMOS analog circuit design.
  • Knowledge of leading nonvolatile memory technologies and experience with SRAM design and advanced VLSI systems.
  • Experience with the entire tape-out process of high-performance ICs and familiarity with logic synthesis, place, and route tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python.

Work Model and Location:
