Job Description

As a Senior Analyst in Finance Data Operations, you will be responsible for the following key areas:

Data Architecture

  • Design and develop data models that represent the structure and relationships of financial data, aligned with business objectives.
  • Build multi-system architecture to support comprehensive financial data strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data architecture into existing systems.

Data Integration

  • Integrate financial data from various sources into coherent data models.
  • Support data governance programs and build a data estate for future financial analytics.
  • Explore AI uses in data integration programs.

Data Transformation

  • Implement data transformation and cleansing processes.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for data models.
  • Optimize data models for efficient querying, reporting, and analytics.
  • Ensure data quality and implement data validation checks.

Data Visualization

  • Automate monthly data reports and ensure accurate financial report distribution.
  • Oversee data ingestion processes and update visual reporting estates, primarily using PowerBI.

Data Sourcing

  • Provide scoping estimates for data sourcing and create data treatment plans.
  • Build a network with other functions to understand the lineage of financial data sources.

Key Accountabilities

  • Align business problems with data-driven solutions.
  • Streamline reporting processes and improve data quality routines.
  • Lead system development and visualization projects.
  • Expertise in financial data lineage within T&F.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and project work.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Part qualifications in ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical skills in PowerBI, Python, REST API.
  • Experience in data visualization estates and supporting financial data sets.
  • Strong MS Excel proficiency and attention to detail.
