Job Overview - Senior Azure Data Engineer

As a Senior Azure Data Engineer, you will participate in designing and building modern data products, including raw data stores (data lakes) and cleansed data repositories. Collaborate with a team to create robust designs and deliver solutions using Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing data processes for data availability and usability.
  • Automating data pipelines and platforms.
  • Managing data quality via automated testing frameworks.
  • Collaborating with Architects, Data Scientists, and DevOps teams.
  • Researching data acquisition and evaluating suitability.
  • Integrating data management solutions into client environments.
  • Managing data risks and ensuring a recovery plan.
  • Building data repositories like data warehouses and data lakes.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Expertise in creating robust data pipelines for production systems.
  • Experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure Blob Storage).
  • Experience using Azure Databricks for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of secure, performant, and well-modeled data stores.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases and source code version control (git).
  • Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative work style.
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Understanding of DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) capabilities (preferred).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP 203) certification (preferred).
