Job Description

As a Commercial Finance Insight Analyst, you’ll provide high-quality, actionable insights to support our Consumer business. You’ll build strong relationships with business stakeholders at all levels while delving into performance assessment, collaborating with other departments such as Data Science, Marketing, and Analytics. Our department is constantly evolving, and you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, working closely with the Data team to generate innovative methods to access insights.

  • Weekly and monthly performance reporting, including communication/presentation of key findings, spotting opportunities for enhancement, enrichment, and automation
  • Assisting the business with advice, insights, and financial modeling, including business plans, post-initiative analysis, and generating new ideas
  • Leading the development of the Commercial finance function, considering new technologies, advising on new ways of working, and benefiting from ongoing improvements in data availability
  • Researching and aiding in the development of new commercial opportunities to drive sales, introduce new products, cut costs, etc
  • Gathering external and internal market data to support across the breadth of the business – new product initiatives, performance marketing, and customer
  • Cooperating cross-functionally on a wide range of projects
  • Data analysis and dashboard creation using SQL and Tableau

This is a genuinely career-defining role for someone passionate about the commercial side of Finance and Analytics looking for a chance to play a significant part in a growing, highly-rated team. In return for your hard work, we’ll offer ample opportunities for progression and will support you in your pursuit of further qualifications if you wish, as you contribute to revolutionizing a product that is changing how we travel and inspiring millions of people around the world to choose more environmentally sustainable travel options every day.

Qualifications

We’re seeking creative big thinkers with small egos in order to realise our ambitious plans. You’ll bring experience in a commercial or analytical role, demonstrating a proactive, can-do attitude. We’d prefer if you have worked within a digital, e-commerce, technology, or retail environment, but we can be flexible on this given your ability to work quickly and energetically within a growth environment.

A team player with a ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude, you're used to thinking laterally to solve problems and challenges, and possess a passion for deriving meaning out of data. It’s also crucial that you have a natural ability to simplify and clearly communicate the results of complicated analyses to all levels of business.

Working independently within tight deadlines, you’ll have the ability to think creatively to identify and enhance both commercial and consumer-oriented opportunities. You’ll bring experience in modeling and forecasting and an understanding of broader analytical techniques. Ideally, you'll have experience with SQL, excel, and visualization tools.
