Dandy is revolutionizing the massive ($200B) yet outdated dental industry. With the backing of some of the world's top venture capital investors, we have set an ambitious mission to simplify and integrate all functions of the dental practice through technology. By constructing the operating system for all dental offices in America, Dandy is providing dentists with the power of technology, innovation, and top-tier support to achieve more for their practice, their team, and their patients.

About the Role

We are looking for experienced senior data analysts to take on some of our most pressing challenges in the area of analytics for our Digital Design Center (DDC). Our DDC team plays a crucial role in Dandy's dental operations, managing key areas like designer workforce management, product feature improvement for better quality, and optimization of capacity and utilization. In this exciting, cross-functional role, you will have the autonomy to use data analysis independently to generate recommendations that push Dandy to the forefront of the dental lab industry.

What You'll Do

  • Generate and share insights that drive the DDC team and partner functions such as operations and product.

  • Define the data language (i.e., KPIs, dashboards, measurements, etc.) to ensure your team comprehends the underlying truth that promotes progress and success.

  • Facilitate quick decision-making through ad hoc work or by democratizing data/self-service (efficient BI or user-friendly explorations in Looker in partnership with our analytics engineers).

  • Use your data expertise to reduce ambiguity and solve problems.

  • Mentor other analysts and support their growth.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience working in operations, people, or manufacturing analytics or data science, ideally in a B2B environment

  • A BA/BS degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering or a BA/BS in behavioral science (economics, psychology, etc.) featuring statistical skills

  • Excellent SQL skills

  • Strong scripting Python skills

  • Strong communication skills and experience in conveying results that induce change. You can effectively use data to inform, align, and lead

  • Strong sense of autonomy and ownership

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and statistical skills

Additional Skills

  • Hands-on experience in workforce analytics, especially with companies managing large international teams

  • Interest in working and learning in a startup where we're still determining some basics

  • Experience in capacity planning and modeling

  • Strong customer empathy, especially for dentists

  • Experience with Looker, Hex, and DBT
