Job Responsibilities:

• Improve data quality and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage event-driven and self-service data architecture.
• Ensure data-related projects align with data architecture and business objectives, adhering to standards and policies.
• Set principles for naming, governing, managing, modeling, transforming, storing, searching, and delivering data.
• Establish end-to-end data architectural accountability and refine enterprise architecture for the data governance framework.
• Propose and govern proof of concepts for modern technologies to enhance data architecture capabilities.
• Collaborate with business units to establish and validate data design requirements.
• Define and validate performance and scalability objectives through testing.
• Consult on data architecture matters to ensure accurate and secure data usage, suggesting updates based on evolving needs.
• Manage metadata repositories for the data warehouse, including data models, dictionaries, lineage, and quality controls.
• Evaluate data architecture artifacts to keep them current, accurate, relevant, and accessible.
• Perform code reviews and advise data team members and application developers on data development practices.

Required Skills:

• Five to seven years of experience in data architecture, technology infrastructure, event-driven and self-service architectures, and data quality operations.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse, data governance, MDM (Master Data Management), and metadata architectures.
• Expert knowledge of cloud-based databases such as BigQuery, traditional relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL*Server), and familiarity with emerging technologies such as GCP.
• Familiarity with technologies such as GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka, Pulsar, or Rabbit MQ.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
