Position Title: Senior Data Architect

Location: Remote

Overview:

We are in search of a highly experienced Senior Cloud Architect and Data Warehouse Specialist to join our team on an initial contract from late July/early August through the end of February, with a strong likelihood of extension up to 24 months. This critical role involves supporting our client's post-cutover phase, focusing on day 2 activities, and ensuring seamless operation and optimization of their cloud and data warehouse environments.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud architecture solutions, primarily utilizing Azure and Snowflake.
• Oversee the migration and optimization of data warehouses, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide expert guidance and support in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to cloud and data warehouse infrastructure.
• Develop and implement best practices for data management, security, and governance.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them into the architecture to enhance performance and cost-efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in cloud architecture and data warehouse management.
• Expert-level skills in Azure and Snowflake, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale data warehouse solutions.
• Extensive experience in building and migrating data warehouses, with a deep understanding of associated challenges and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with additional cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in other data warehouse technologies like Redshift, BigQuery, or Teradata.
• Knowledge of data integration tools such as Talend, Informatica, or Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in cloud architecture and data warehouse technologies (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Snowflake SnowPro).
