Job Summary

IQVIA, a leading global provider of advanced analytics and technology solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Architect to join the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Regional Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's data architecture. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to ensure our data architecture meets both business and technical requirements effectively for internal and external projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data models, database schemas, and data integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand and implement data requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure data security and privacy by implementing access controls and encryption techniques.
  • Optimize database performance and scalability by tuning parameters and recommending hardware upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain data migration and data integration processes.
  • Create and manage data dictionaries, data lineage, and data quality rules.
  • Stay updated with the latest data architecture trends and recommend improvements.
  • Align data architecture with the organization’s IT strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data integration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database skills.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in Python or Java.
  • Experience with REST API interfaces.
  • Expertise in data governance and data lineage.
  • Skilled in designing and implementing data security and privacy controls.
  • Experience in data migration and data integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry data standards and models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the medical domain.
  • Experience with Ontology Crosswalks.
