We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Development Engineer to join the London Stock Exchange Group's Commodities Development team. This role involves collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders to maintain and enhance commodities applications and platforms, focusing particularly on end-to-end Azure Cloud migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain large-scale software systems
• Migrate systems to Azure
• Create new Azure applications and services
• Handle own workload and promote an inclusive and open culture
• Enhance knowledge and expertise in software development and other domains
• Lead design work and planning for user journeys
• Understand strategy and culture and its impact on work
• Deliver assigned tasks with guidance and oversight
• Build strong relationships and collaborate closely with team and colleagues
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and timely
• Take initiative in developing knowledge in technology products and tools

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• Strong knowledge of multiple programming languages, especially Python
• Experience with Azure Cloud Computing and Data Structure Designing
• Proficient in using Azure Databricks, Data Lakes, Gen2 Storage, Data Factory, KQL, Redis, Azure Bus Service, etc.
• Good knowledge of Oracle databases
• Familiarity with design patterns and building data platforms
• Proficiency in Java and C# is preferable
• Experience in commodities data is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of proven technical leadership in delivering and operating high-quality cloud services
• Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
