Job Description: Senior Data Engineer (Java Expertise Required)

As a Senior Data Engineer at Cermati.com, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our data platforms. You will lead a dynamic team to architect and enhance our data functionalities, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the technical roadmap for our data platforms, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, sharing best practices in coding and system design.
• Design and implement new features, as well as maintain and improve existing functionalities.
• Ensure operational excellence by monitoring and maintaining the production environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Current residency in Jakarta is essential. Applicants from outside Jakarta will not be considered.
• Proven Java expertise with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in enterprise-level projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of dependency injection in unit testing frameworks.
• Proficiency in Java best practices and multithreading as outlined in key industry resources like "Effective Java" by Josh Bloch and "Java Concurrency in Practice" by Brian Goetz.
• Solid experience with Linux-based systems and familiarity with SQL and PostgreSQL databases.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, and previous roles in a data platform team.
• Knowledge of Apache Flink is a plus.
