Job Description: CoreLogic is on the hunt for a passionate Senior Data Engineer who has a fervor for all things data and an ambition to transform data processing into a competitive edge. The individuals in this role should keep up with innovations and trends in the world of data processing, including data management, data quality, and data curation. Job Responsibilities: - Process complex data sets, using technologies to process disparate data sets and comprehend the correlation and patterns within. - Collaborate closely with other teams to create solutions that meet business requirements, perform assessments, POC’s, and establish a development plan. - Anticipate technical challenges and form implementation strategies. - Identify enabling technologies and build solutions based on identified technologies as needed. - Create and present white papers and proposals. - Use lateral thinking to develop innovative solutions to meet business needs. - Communicate complex technical ideas in a clear, captivating manner. Job Qualifications: - 8 years of relevant IT experience and 3 years of experience with Java coding. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or significant industry experience. - Excellent coding skills with expertise in Java, REST APIs, SQL, and micro-services. - Experience with Apache Spark/Beam, Google Cloud Dataflow, MySQL, Big Query, Airflow, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Anthos. - Experience with development & operations in cloud-native technologies (GCP preferred). - Broad knowledge of open-source libraries & packages. - Proficiency with big data concepts and data engineering principles or techniques. - Excellent communication and organization skills. - Must possess a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages. - Must be a team player with a creative mind, always seeking innovative solutions to challenging problems and open to learning and sharing knowledge with others. Preferred Qualifications: - Working knowledge of Python, DBT, React.JS & Angular.JS. - Professional certifications. - Knowledge of Cloud architecture, networking, and protocols. - Analytical mindset and proficient problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Good organizational skills. - Someone who enjoys work-life balance while working on exciting projects. - Someone interested in a company that prioritizes staff development and promotes from within.
