Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:

• Analyze large datasets to answer key business questions and optimize decision-making processes.
• Design, implement, and maintain advanced reporting systems, dashboards, and data models.
• Play a vital role in project teams, leading advanced data analysis initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Work collaboratively with senior management to assess business needs and develop strategic analytics solutions.
• Enhance data analysis processes and systems, aiming for increased efficiency and automation.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff members, guiding them through complex data science projects.
• Manage and enhance tools like Data Catalogs and participate actively in improving Data Governance frameworks.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• At least 3 years of experience in SQL, Tableau, Python, R.
• Professional background in financial services with familiarity with credit cards, auto/home loans.
• Expertise in statistical methodologies, data modeling, and business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, PySpark).
• Advanced problem-solving capabilities, including knowledge in ETL tools and data cleansing techniques.
• Proficient in statistical programming and data analysis, with the ability to mentor others in these areas.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing data-driven projects and initiatives.
• Masters Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred:

• Experience with Navy Federal Human Resources systems and procedures.
• Knowledge of OLAP/OLTP systems and PMP certification.
