Introducing Advertising Science at Roblox

Our Advertising Science sector is a burgeoning strategic area poised to solve essential challenges related to scale, effectiveness, and implementation, all while maintaining our commitment to civility and user-focused experiences. This role involves pioneering work in experimental design, causal modeling, and auction evaluation, collaborating closely with Engineering and Product teams to innovate our advertising systems and operations.

Your Role as a Senior Data Scientist in Advertising Science

As a new member of our Advertising Science team, you will:

• Enhance data-informed decision-making using economic theory and scientific rigor.
• Develop and maintain metrics to improve user experience and advertising market efficiency.
• Support product development through insights derived from data analysis and partnerships with product and technical leaders.
• Create science roadmaps and design experiments to ensure successful product feature launches.
• Architect and analyze complex data systems to facilitate strategic and systemic analyses.

You will report directly to the Senior Director of Economy Data the Science.

What We Look For

• Proven experience in digital advertising, including systems, measurement science, and incrementality.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
• Advanced skills in scripting languages like Python or R and big data tools such as SQL, Hive, Spark, and Airflow.
• Strong foundation in econometric modeling, especially in data-limited environments, and proven ability in developing robust data pipelines.
• Advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Exceptional communication skills and a passion for mentoring technical talent.

Location: Our headquarters is in San Mateo, CA, but this role includes flexible workplace options. Salary range for this position is $295,490—$359,170 USD, dependent on experience and qualifications.p>
