Get to Know the Team The Grab Fulfilment Team works as a tech-based group whose aim is to enhance fulfilment capabilities for all Grab operations in a platform manner, offering them solutions that link our driver partners to Grab customers and create an extremely reliable, cost-efficient, and faster transport and logistics platform. The Fulfilment Product Analytics Team fosters product innovation through analytics and best practices for experimentation. We roll out a significant number of features which requires model tuning, change evaluation, and experiment running to drive better outcomes for our driver partners and millions of customers across Southeast Asia. We are looking for a passionate data scientist to join our expanding team. Get to Know the Role Your job is to assist product teams in becoming more data-centric and objective, provide guidance on the design of controlled experiments, and influence the direction of our product roadmap using data. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders across the company, offering recommendations on how to learn from unexpected results, investigate their underlying causes, and iterate on the next products to be developed for our users. The Day-to-Day Activities - Be an expert in the industry on using data to measur and analyse business/product performance in each of our markets and lines of business. - Lead the exploration of business/product issues/opportunities, uncover insights, and/or identify targeted areas for growth. - Liaise closely with the broader product and engineering team to design and analyze experiments that inform key product decisions. - Adapt, fine-tune in-production models to new cities/markets to facilitate product velocity. - Lead expert teams to launch effective products/services and to expand Grab's universe of data for developing richer insights. - Provide thought leadership and generate data-driven hypotheses to address key Product/Business problems. - Develop mixed effect, causal inference models to understand interaction effects or sub-optimal product configurations. - Develop and manage anomaly detection systems to intelligently alert on slow-moving changes or sudden anomalies in product or system metrics. - Create analytics tools to help data teams and other disciplines improve debugging, data summarization, and results analysis. The Must-Haves - You uphold the Heart, Hunger, Honour and Humility principles. - You hold a Bachelor's/Master's degree, preferably in Analytics, Statistics, Software, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or Engineering. - You are proficient in SQL, Presto, ETL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, and Excel. - You possess solid analytical skills with the capacity to collect, organise, and analyze a substantial amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy. - You have robust knowledge on data models, data mining and segmentation techniques. - You are a motivated, autonomous learner who can manage time efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. - You have a proven record in building analytics.
