At Tenneco, we're looking for a seasoned Data Scientist to shape the future of our data infrastructure and technology stack. This role will empower you to blend your STEM expertise with cutting-edge analytics to enhance product performance predictions through our comprehensive testing protocols.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Innovative Model Development: Utilize your skills to create and refine machine learning models that elevate product performance by analyzing complex IIoT datasets and time-series sensor data.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with our manufacturing and R&D teams to transform business requirements into robust technical solutions, from the initial exploratory data analysis to full operational system deployment.

Technical Excellence: Leverage Python’s data science stack, including libraries such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow/PyTorch, to optimize and build scalable models that integrate seamlessly with our current systems.

Dashboard Design: Create user-friendly dashboards that empower non-technical stakeholders to perform self-service analytics, driving data-based decision-making across the organization.

Continual Learning: Stay ahead of the curve by learning new techniques and methodologies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making within the company.

Your Profile for Success:

Educational Excellence: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field.

Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in a data science role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering setting.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in essential machine learning libraries and tools. Familiarity with deep learning and industrial time-series data is a plus.

Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams, ensuring effective communication and project execution.

Independence and Collaboration: Highly independent with excellent team collaboration skills, driven by a passion for industrial manufacturing and Industry 4.0. A background in software development is advantageous.
