The Role of a Senior Data Scientist

As a Senior Data Scientist at Xero, you will collaborate closely with our dynamic Data team and experts across the company to tackle complex challenges through scientific methods and innovative data analytics. You will play a critical role in developing products and driving business impact through rigorous experimentation and analytics.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Diving deep into Xero’s extensive data resources to uncover and leverage hidden value.
• Applying rigorous scientific methods to influence product development trajectories.
• Leading experimental initiatives to deliver tangible outcomes.
• Adhering to high coding standards and collaborating on scalable data solutions.

What We Expect from You

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or statistical software such as R.
• An advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar relevant field.
• Strong grasp of mathematical concepts related to data analytics.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
