What We Do

The Rockstar Analytics team delivers insights and actionable results to a variety of stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making across the organization. We conduct complex analyses, develop reporting solutions, and build data-driven, efficient insights to aid multiple developmental projects and stakeholder groups.

We leverage hands-on data exploration, dashboards, statistical analyses, and predictive models to drive high-impact improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Rockstar builds value for players through compelling analytics and reports for our subscription service
  • Define, measure, and socialize KPIs for our subscription service. Build and maintain regular reports and provide ad-hoc analysis to support business needs
  • Generate insights on lifecycle and retention by analyzing marketing campaigns and product feature releases. Present findings to key decision-makers and recommend actions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of data solutions to address the right needs
  • Recommend and implement innovative data solutions and methodologies to measure membership health and enhance player experiences

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with SQL for exploratory analysis and optimized query writing
  • 4+ years in data science or a similar role in the gaming, marketing, finance, or technology fields
  • 2+ years in subscription analytics or live service analytics
  • Ability to draw inferences from disparate data sources and link findings to business strategies
  • Technical proficiency with large-scale datasets and cloud infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with Python and common data science libraries
  • Passion for Rockstar Games and our titles

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to varied audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to understand stakeholder needs and ensure analytic solutions are relevant and actionable
  • Proficiency in statistics, including distributions, predictive modeling, data validation, statistical testing, and regression
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to reconcile technical and business perspectives
  • Autonomy and entrepreneurship, with a strong team spirit

Pluses

The following skills are desirable but not required:

  • Experience with Hadoop, Snowflake, and/or Databricks
  • Game industry experience

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) is expected to be between $121,400 and $161,800 USD per year, subject to market location and individualized factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include bonuses and/or equity awards, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Further details will be provided upon an offer of employment.
