About the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will join a global team of data scientists and engineers to deliver top-quality, machine learning-based cloud solutions. You'll tackle real-world challenges posed by SAP's customers, focusing on intelligent document processing, including information extraction, OCR, and entity recognition. Leveraging some of the richest data sets in the industry, you will push the boundaries of deep learning.

Responsibilities

• Innovate in machine learning by working with real-world data.
• Explore, comprehend, and implement the latest machine learning algorithms and methods.
• Create prototypes with machine learning models for business problem-solving.
• Provide project updates using data visualization techniques, tailoring them for management and stakeholders.
• Visually communicate the impact and results of implemented systems.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• Advanced knowledge in AI and data science, especially in natural language processing or computer vision.
• Intermediate knowledge of databases such as SAP HANA, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Experience managing data science projects from beginning to end.
• Hands-on experience in architecting and executing deep learning, machine learning, or data science projects.
• Proven track record of collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in data modeling and analytics tools (Python, SQL, Hadoop, R, Data Bricks).
• Intermediate database knowledge (SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Familiarity with statistical models and data mining algorithms.
• Understanding of business requirements and project aims.
• Proficiency in organizing and preparing data for modeling.
• Expert AI modeling skills and familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Ability to evaluate and adjust models to meet business objectives.
• Experience deploying models and presenting outcomes to stakeholders.
• End-to-end management of data lakes, from creation to maintenance.
