The Role: Senior Data Scientist, Marketing

As a Marketing Senior Data Scientist, you will leverage your analytical skills and marketing acumen to influence high-impact projects. Working closely with our growth marketing teams, you will drive optimization across marketing channels, enhance personalization strategies, and explore new marketing avenues. Your contributions will not only influence immediate marketing efforts but also bolster our broader data science initiatives and data-driven culture at Thumbtack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user behavior, define target audiences, and measure campaign performance
  • Identify and execute strategies to optimize individual marketing campaigns and overall channel mix
  • Design experiments to test and refine marketing strategies
  • Develop expertise in specific areas, such as A/B testing, customer segmentation, and channel optimization
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to innovate and scale our growth marketing efforts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years in marketing data science or analytics
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, campaign assessment, and performance optimization
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and familiar with data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
  • Strong communication skills and a knack for problem-solving
  • A background in statistical or machine learning model building is a plus
