Position Overview
Walmart Global Tech is seeking a seasoned Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic Personalization team in Bellevue/Sunnyvale. As part of a team that includes platform developers, application engineers, scientists, and product visionaries, you’ll design, prototype, and build innovative products that will shape the future of e-commerce. You’ll play a critical role in building the global service layer that enhances the end-to-end customer experience from product discovery to delivery.

What You'll Do
- Develop state-of-the-art techniques in Machine Learning, Personalization, and Recommendation Systems
- Design, implement, and own advanced Machine Learning models, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and computer vision
- Collaborate with tech leads on top-down or bottom-up initiatives and priorities
- Create and iterate on data models based on new insights
- Challenge and refine best practices in Personalization and Item Recommendations
What You’ll Bring
- Master's degree/PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields
- Expertise in Machine Learning, Statistics, Personalization, and Item Recommendation algorithms
- Experience in developing and evaluating large-scale machine learning models
- Experience in designing and deploying scalable Recommender Systems for e-commerce
- Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years' experience in analytics
- OR Master’s degree in related fields and 1 year of experience
- OR 5 years' experience in analytics or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degrees in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics
- Proficiency in Python, Spark, Scala, or R
- Experience with open-source frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
- Knowledge in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
