Position Summary

As a Senior Data Scientist in our Personalization team, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and product managers to convert qualitative requirements into robust, scalable, and quantitative ML solutions. Your role will involve creating E-commerce and marketing experimental designs, identifying optimal data sources, and implementing both short- and long-term data strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Propose and design technical ML solutions and architectures based on business requirements.
  • Deploy and scale ML models for personalization and recommendation projects.
  • Develop efficient, reusable code components and validate ML models to improve business objectives.
  • Identify and design data strategies suited for project needs.
  • Communicate ML project achievements and challenges with both engineering and business partners.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong business intuition in personalization and recommendation domains.
  • Proficient in data engineering using SQL and PySpark.
  • Knowledge in experimental design (e.g., AB testing) and both supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
  • Experience with ML Ops concepts, deployment, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related field with 2-3 years of industrial experience in data and modeling, or PhD in a quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of professional coding experience with SQL and Python.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and experience with cloud computing services such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with integrating, structuring, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Acute expertise in supervised and unsupervised predictive modeling algorithms.
  • Strong project management and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to various audiences.
