About the Position

You'll have an opportunity to become part of Cabify's Data Science team, comprised of highly motivated specialists with access to all the organization's data. Our team plays a crucial role in the company's essential sectors such as vehicle and route management, user experience comprehension, pricing, fraud detection, and marketing optimization (as shown in , , ). With state-of-the-art tools and infrastructure at your fingertips, you'll work towards optimizing daily operations in over 40 cities worldwide. As a Senior Data Scientist on our team, your responsibilities will include:

• Proposing and developing significant data science projects in close collaboration with other teams: data, engineering, product, and business.
• Taking part in executing and analyzing real-life experiments following academia-standard scientific methodologies to demonstrate the impact of new product features we develop.
• Developing novel machine-learning models.
• Transforming the team's work into tangible business insights to facilitate decision-making and add value to the organization.
• Partaking in research and innovation, contributing fresh ideas to the team, and expanding our technical and scientific expertise.
• Communicating intricate ideas to diverse stakeholders, in harmony with the company's deeply ingrained data culture.
• Contributing actively to product development discussions, proposing innovative features while representing the data science view.
• Possibility to further your career as an individual contributor or move into a technical management role in the future, depending on your preferences.

What We are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience working as a data scientist or in an equivalent research role.
• A solid academic background, preferably Master/PhD, in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, etc.
• Sound knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (preferably both) and data visualization libraries.
• Experience in data extraction and processing, capable of scripting complex SQL code.
• Experience in deploying machine learning solutions to production, including deployment, training, testing, model decay, model serving, etc.
• Ability to work independently in an unstructured setting.

Bonus Points

• Solid understanding of Probability & Statistics.
• Experience in various aspects of scientific experimentation (experiment design, population sampling, testing methods, statistical significance analysis, etc.).
• Experience in publishing peer-reviewed scientific articles.
• Familiarity with advanced methodologies such as deep learning models, time series analysis, Bayesian statistics, causal inference, etc.
• Experience with geospatial data modeling, analysis, and visualization.
