As a Senior Data Scientist for Linktree’s Core Product Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our core product by planning, launching, and evaluating a wide range of experiments. These experiments will test key hypotheses and unlock impactful new opportunities for our tens of millions of users and billions of visitors worldwide. Most importantly, you will help Linktree achieve its mission: To empower anyone to curate and grow their digital universe.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Design smart, scrappy experiments for quick directional signals and more formal hypothesis tests for deeper insights.
- Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, product designers, and data scientists.
- Employ modern statistical techniques to communicate your findings effectively.
- Spend 2-3 days per week at our LA or SF offices (your choice) and 2-3 days working from home.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, monitor, and evaluate a wide range of experiments to test hypotheses and learn from our users.
- Distill insights and share them widely, informing future product directions.
- Build and manage important datasets that quantify key aspects of our core product and user behavior, mentoring teammates on their impact.
- Monitor key metrics and collaborate to ensure progress towards business goals.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in data science.
- Contribute to our overall data strategy, maintaining our competitive edge.
- Evangelize best practices for data and statistics, driving adoption across the company.
Who We're Looking For
We seek candidates who have:
- A minimum of 4 years as a Data Scientist in a high-growth, product-centric tech company.
- Hands-on experience driving a wide range of experiments, from quick-and-scrappy to formal hypothesis tests.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or a related field (a Master’s or PhD is a bonus).
- Clear experience in using data to drive business impact.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile product development environment.
- Experience using “build-measure-learn” cycles for shipping quickly and iterating powerful insights.
Linktree is committed to offering a competitive compensation package for this role, targeted at $145,000-$200,000 in the San Francisco Bay or Los Angeles area. Final offer amounts may vary based on factors like expertise, role scope, and level.
