What You'll Do as a Senior Database Administrator

As part of the Data Engineering team, you’ll be responsible for providing cloud and on-premise database solutions. Our Database Administrators leverage their broad technical expertise to deliver the highest quality services globally. You will work closely with Application Development and Operations teams to design database systems that align with enterprise architecture. Additionally, you will collaborate with DevOps, Architecture, Application Development, Testing, and Cloud Engineering teams to build industry-leading systems with a focus on reliability engineering principles, self-service, and automation.

Ideal Qualifications, Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of extensive hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL databases. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL Architecture, Performance Management, User Management, and Security is essential. Proficiency in at least one scripting language like Shell scripting, Perl, or Python is required, along with exposure to Cloud Data Migrations and Cloud Native databases like Aurora. Experience with NOSQL databases like MongoDB and relational database systems like MySQL or SQL Server is desirable. Additionally, designing complex architectures for high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability is crucial. A Cloud Certification is an advantage.

The role requires good communication skills, as it involves interaction with multiple application teams. You should be capable of independently managing processes, automation, best practices, and documentation.
