As we grow, we're structuring our team to handle more engineering in-house. You'll be responsible for taking designs from concept to the permit and construction document set. You must be capable of defining critical equipment specifications and approving equipment submittals. You will directly support construction and be involved in the process from site selection review through commissioning and ultimately turnover. This position is based in Virginia, so travel to our head office in Seattle will be necessary. You can expect travel to make up 20% of your time, mainly to Virginia-based data centers and for in-person collaboration efforts outside your assigned office location. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for data center electrical designs and collaborating with other disciplines to create a construction document set. The engineer will also create designs that meet or exceed our quality requirements and budgetary constraints, work with local agencies to ensure compliance with various regulations and building codes, and review and approve equipment submittals. They will define project scope, provide technical support for information requests during construction phases, work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate the installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems, and offer creative, out-of-box solutions. For this position, we are looking for candidates with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 12+ years of relevant electrical experience, 7+ years of experience with industrial or commercial electrical design, and 9+ years of experience developing design documentation for construction and/or permitting. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year to $212,800/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
