At the heart of technological innovation, the Samsung Knox Cloud Service team is seeking a skilled Senior Staff Research Engineer to advance our large-scale machine learning capabilities and drive groundbreaking solutions across our B2B product line.
As part of the Knox Solutions Innovation team, you will:
Explore and integrate cutting-edge technologies into Samsung products.
Design, develop, and deploy robust machine learning solutions within Samsung services.
Transition machine learning algorithms from concept to production, originating from Samsung's prolific research teams or influential research papers.
Construct rapid prototypes and proofs-of-concept to validate ideas.
Design strategic experiments, perform technical evaluations, and apply enhancements to elevate our product offerings.
Holder of a Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or you possess an equivalent blend of education, training, and experience.
Boasting at least 3 years of industry experience in crafting machine learning and deep learning solutions within a production environment.
Skilled in utilizing large language models and transformer-based models.
Experienced in developing cloud applications using Java or Python for scalable distributed systems.
Proficient in data modeling, database performance (preferably MongoDB), data structures, algorithms, and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or Pytorch.
Adept in problem-solving, with strong interpersonal abilities, and a proven track record in dynamic development teams.
Knowledgeable in security and privacy concepts, including zero trust and differential privacy, and in distributed machine learning technologies like Spark ML, Ray.io, and Kubeflow.
Our competitive total rewards program is designed to engage and motivate our top-tier talent. The base pay range for this role is $151,200 — $207,750 USD, with variations based on location, expertise, and other factors. This is complemented by an annual bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package to support a healthy and balanced life.
This role is based in an office setting requiring normal office equipment use, sitting, standing, and general communication abilities.
