About the Role: Senior Data Scientist at Privacy Hub

Privacy Hub is seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous senior data scientist eager to become a subject expert in health data privacy. The role involves guiding team members who process and analyze large health-related datasets, and advising stakeholders on data privacy after a period of training.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced expertise in healthcare data privacy from multiple perspectives.
• Guide and supervise the use of programmatic tools to analyze data and explore hypotheses.
• Contribute to engineering workflows and product development for automating analysis components.
• Incorporate advancing team knowledge in health data privacy.

Qualifications

• PhD in a science related to human health or data science with developed knowledge of the other.
• Demonstrable leadership experience in professional or academic settings.
• Experience providing expert advice, developing protocols, and setting standards.
• Deep understanding and experience with real-world health systems and their data.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, with big data analysis experience.
• Strong understanding of statistical probability, bias, error, power, and sampling theory.
• Skilled in applying scientific methods to practical problems for robust conclusions.
• Strong project management skills.
• Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills.
• Independent problem-solving skills and proactive initiative.
• Understanding of commercial practices and stakeholder interaction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud services for storage and computing.
• A track record of securing funding through grant applications.
