Job Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and direction to support the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• Analyze complex systems to design and implement automated solutions for public and private clouds.
• Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas.
• Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firm-wide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle practices.
• Influence peers and project decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies.
• Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
• Mentor teammates with technical leadership and enable successful project delivery for JPMC.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, Terraform, Shell, and SQL.
• In-depth knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with expertise in areas like cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile technologies.
• Ability to independently address design and functionality problems with minimal oversight.
• Practical cloud-native experience in AWS and Azure.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, using Atlassian-based Agile CI/CD for Network, SDN/NFV, and Network Security domains.
• Proficiency with distributed systems using Linux, Kubernetes, SQL (Oracle, Maria DB, PostGre, RDS), NO-SQL (Dynamo DB, Cassandra), and micro-services (Spring boot).

• High degree of autonomy in tackling design and functionality problems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies.
