Essential Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and direction to enhance our business operations, collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.

Code Development: Craft secure, high-quality production code and oversee, as well as debug, code developed by others.

Product and Design Decision Making: Influence critical decisions that shape our product design, application functionality, and technical maneuvers.

Technical Expertise: Serve as a go-to subject matter expert across the company in one or more specialized tech areas.

Community Contribution: Actively enhance our engineering community by advocating firmwide best frameworks, tools, and practices integral to Software Development Life Cycle.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and influence stakeholders across Corporate Treasury and various Lines of Business to refine requirements and drive impactful decisions.

Culture Advocacy: Foster a team culture centered around diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications:

Software Engineering Training: Formal education or certifications in software engineering concepts with high-level applied experience.

Technical Proficiencies: Highly skilled in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.

Programming Languages: Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Scala and associated frameworks, preferably Spark.

Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to independently resolve design and functionality issues with minimal oversight.

Data Handling: Strong ability to solve complex data problems using a range of technologies like SQL, Relational DB, Spark, and NoSQL while optimizing performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Financial Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial services, specifically in Liquidity and/or Risk domains.

Spark Experience: Hands-on experience with Spark for performance tuning during complex calculations on large datasets.
