More details are provided below: About the Role: Pryon is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their AI Engineering team. In this role, you will be part of a team that constructs top-notch information retrieval and question answering systems over structured and unstructured data. In this role, you will: - Construct the new generation of AI-driven search systems. - Scale our IR systems to extensive collections of documents. What you'll need to succeed: - A solid understanding in Computer Science with skills in data structures, algorithms, and software design. - 5+ years of industry experience. Previous technical leadership experience is a plus. - Masters or higher degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field. Or a Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience. - Experience with IR frameworks, vector databases and similarity search algorithms. - Experience with deploying large language models in actual use. - Expertise in one or more of: Python, Java, Golang, C++. - Experience with one or more of TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jax, or another deep learning toolkit. - Experience with cloud based development environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with micro-service creation is a plus. - Problem-solving skills. A hands-on, get-things-done attitude. - Team player who can work in a closely knit, fast-paced startup environment.
