Opportunity Overview

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Extreme Networks, you are expected to bring creativity and innovation to our cutting-edge projects involving IoT, big data, cloud computing, and machine learning. This role is not only about engineering but shaping the future of networking technologies. You will be at the heart of a greenfield project, influencing product and user experience, technical strategies, and scientific roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovative machine learning solutions to enhance our products and platforms.
  • Lead the software development lifecycle from design to deployment and operations.
  • Develop high-performance, production-ready ML code for our next-gen real-time ML platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to quicken model development and deployment at scale.
  • Mentor peers and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Champion operational excellence and resilient system architectures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in software development and machine learning.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale distributed systems design, preferably on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Expertise in Python or Java and familiarity with ML libraries and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science with a focus on ML.
  • Experience with real-world data processing and large-scale ML systems deployment.
  • Knowledge in ML optimization techniques, and experience with frameworks like PyTorch and CUDA.
