Providence is thrilled to announce an opening in our dynamic Analytics Center of Excellence for a forward-thinking Senior Product Designer focused on Data and Business Intelligence. This remote role is perfect for someone eager to lead in the creation of intuitive and impactful BI dashboard designs, playing a key role in elevating our organization's design maturity.

About the Role

As a pivotal member of our in-house design consultancy, you will collaborate closely with fellow product designers, design researchers, and cross-functional partners. Your goal will be to advance our design competency across a range of data products, ensuring our designs are both user-centric and strategically impactful. This position demands strong communication and empathy-building skills alongside a proficiency in data visualization, as you will provide expert consultation and guidance to newcomers in the design field.

We value skills and passion over years of experience. Applicants are expected to present a design portfolio highlighting their expertise in dashboard and data visualization projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, with certifications in data analytics and data visualization preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years in human-centered design, UI/UX product design relevant to data analytics and visualization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advocate of "big design" and transformative use of design beyond mere user interfaces.
• Exceptional design leadership skills with a proficiency in utilizing Figma and Power BI among other platforms.
• Sound understanding of enterprise product design patterns and systematic thinking abilities to support strategic decisions.
• Experience in designing comprehensive data products and dashboards.
• Independent visual aesthetic that balances innovative design with enduring product appeal.
• Basic front-end development skills are advantageous but not essential.
