We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team at S&P Global Market Intelligence. This role focuses on accelerating our Energy Transition efforts.

The Team and Impact

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be part of a development team that manages and supports vital internal applications driving the Investment Research Dataset. Your work will play a crucial role in our Energy Transition initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve issues
• Develop solutions to support key business needs
• Design components and common services using standard development models, languages, and tools
• Create system design documents
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Quickly adapt to new and internal technologies

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
• 5-8 years of application development experience
• Strong knowledge in object-oriented design, .NET framework, and design patterns
• Proficient in C# and SQL Server
• Experience with stream processing engines like Kafka, Spark, etc.
• Proven experience in building event-driven, scalable, and resilient systems
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies like Agile and Test-driven development; SAFe experience is a plus
• Experience with relational database technologies on SQL Server, and proficiency in Transact SQL
• Skilled in debugging, logging, performance monitoring, data visualization, and data analytics
• Understanding of information systems and business processes in the Financial Services domain (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Database performance tuning and replication knowledge
• Proficient in ETL and Data Management Tools
• Understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Hands-on experience in business requirements gathering and analysis
• Experience with Microsoft SQL databases and database-related presentation applications
• Proficiency in Microsoft .Net, .Net Core, AWS, Containerization, Docker, and Big Data
