Senior Software Engineer - Machine Learning Engineering

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and continually improve new ML-driven products to enhance creativity, exploration, and interaction on Discord.
• Create robust, scalable, low-latency machine learning systems that power tailor-made experiences for millions of users daily.
• Create a standardized serving infrastructure using MLOps stacks like Vertex AI, TorchServe.

Your Profile:

• You have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a numerically inclined field such as Computer Science, Physics, Applied Math, Statistics or other quantitative fields.
• You have over 7 years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Software Engineer or over 5 years with an advanced degree.
• You have experience delivering large-scale, distributed machine learning systems.
• You have Python programming skills and an understanding of software engineering principles, including writing clean, maintainable code.
• You possess strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
• You approach problems from their fundamental principles. You are comfortable with uncertainty and enjoy collaborative problem-solving to figure out complex solutions and their execution. You can turn a high-level, vague goal into a deliverable solution.
• You have strong product instincts and a passion for applications driven by user feedback and end-user experiences.

The US based salary range for this full-time position is $204,000 to $220,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are decided by role and level. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by additional factors, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details provided in US role posting reflect the base salary only and do not include equity or benefits.
