About the Role

This role focuses on leveraging machine learning expertise to address diverse challenges within Nuro’s autonomous technology stack, including sensor fusion detection, tracking, detailed classification, and deciphering human intent.

Key Responsibilities

You will be engaged in comprehensive problem-solving stages, from conceptual proofs to model iterations, from onboard deployment to active performance management and troubleshooting on the roads. This role enables you to design methods or processes essential for training models on a vast scale of data while maintaining onboard latency to ensure real-world applicability. Moreover, it provides the avenue to own and delve deep into novel challenges.

About You

Your profile includes recent applications of advanced deep learning methodologies in autonomous driving, proficiency in modern object detection models, sensor fusion, and multitask learning. A solid grounding in ML and proven experience in enhancing model architectures are essential. Proficiency in software engineering, with hands-on experience in both high and low-level programming languages such as Python and C++, is crucial. Additional commendable qualifications would include experience in real-time model deployment, model architecture optimization, and involvement in ML model productization and supporting infrastructure.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $167,200 and $250,800 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location. This role also qualifies for an annual performance bonus, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package.
