About the Role

The Senior Technical and Data Analyst role sits within our Global Functions Technology team supporting Group and Global Functions in strategic global solutions for BUPA. This role specifically supports the Finance Domain, including Finance Planning. Products supported will vary, but chiefly this role focuses on Financial Planning, Actuarial and Corporate Reporting products that deliver statutory, regulatory, and management reporting.

Responsibilities

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Act as an integral part of the finance domain support team, responsible for detailed technical and data analysis throughout the product life cycle.
  • Deliver business and technical value in collaboration with wider teams.
  • Be a subject matter expert for the product, data, and systems.
  • Define metrics, develop models, and use data-driven facts to make informed decisions.
  • Develop user stories using workshops, prototyping, mock-ups, and design thinking.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of product backlog items and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Own the definition and maintenance of system configuration and product releases.
  • Work collaboratively in an agile manner with scrum teams.

Skills and Qualifications

Required for this role:

  • Experience in technical delivery teams (technical and data analysis).
  • Deep product and domain knowledge across Finance domain technologies, including:
    • Actuarial Technology
    • FP&A Processes
    • Core accounting and finance technologies (ERP’s / GL’s)
    • Complex data integration
  • Finance/accountancy qualifications are beneficial.
  • Understanding of code management and functional/technical design.
  • Experience leveraging agile methodologies.
  • Data management experience, including analysis, modelling, and mapping.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
  • High proficiency using Azure DevOps, Excel.
  • Strong influencing skills and experience collaborating with senior stakeholders.
