About the Role: AI Specialist Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated "AI Specialist Engineer" to spearhead the application of our product's latest LLM/AI technology. As an AI/ML Engineer at Firsthand, you will:

• Lead the experimentation, development, and deployment of cutting-edge machine learning and large language models for our production systems.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of ML systems, ensuring optimal performance through continuous monitoring, evaluation, and enhancements.
• Stay at the forefront of machine learning advancements, proactively integrating new technologies to enhance our systems.

Who You Are

We are looking for a candidate with:

• 5+ years of professional experience in the Machine Learning field.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, proficiency in Python, ML frameworks, ML experiments, and MLOps tools.
• Proven experience with machine learning systems in production, especially in the NLP/LLM domain.
• Hands-on experience in model fine-tuning and/or reward learning beyond hobby projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in data wrangling using SQL and other tools.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive to take ownership of projects and deliver results in a startup environment.
