Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer III, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering market-leading technology solutions. You will:

  • Develop and execute software solutions, exploring beyond conventional approaches to overcome technical challenges.
  • Maintain and create secure, high-quality production code and optimize algorithms to operate cohesively with various systems.
  • Construct architectures and design blueprints for complex applications, ensuring your development work upholds design integrity.
  • Analyze large data sets to enhance software applications, and formulate reports and visualizations to drive continuous improvements.
  • Design robust data handling mechanisms, ensuring the security, stability, and scalability of data storage and analytics solutions.
  • Strategically plan and manage database backups, recovery, and archiving.
  • Build efficient data pipelines to manage data across multiple sources, enhancing the system's overall performance and responsiveness.
  • Utilize data insights to identify and resolve hidden issues, enhancing coding practices and architectural decisions.
  • Contribute to our vibrant software engineering community, sharing knowledge and exploring emerging technologies.
  • Promote a culture rooted in diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team and broader organization.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in software engineering with formal training or certification.
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services like S3, Lake Formation, and Glue ETL, alongside solid experience in Java or Python.
  • Strong grasp of SQL-based technologies (MySQL, Oracle DB) and modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Demonstrated ability in statistical analysis, able to leverage appropriate methodologies to interpret data.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software development life cycle, cloud technology, and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, applicant resiliency, and security.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following skills will enhance your candidacy:

  • Experience with Snowflake, data lake construction, and data framework development.
  • A deep understanding of the financial services industry and its IT ecosystems.
