Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, utilizing innovative approaches to resolve technical issues.
  • Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronized algorithms with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met during software development.
  • Analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse datasets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
  • Identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Support a team culture rooted in diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Review controls to ensure adequate protection of enterprise data.
  • Advise and make custom configuration changes to tools, producing products based on business or customer requests.
  • Update logical or physical data models according to new use cases.
  • Leverage SQL frequently and possess an understanding of NoSQL databases.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts along with 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code within a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within disciplines like cloud, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
  • Experience across the data lifecycle, with hands-on experience in Spark, ETL, AWS, any data warehousing tool (Red Shift, etc.), or Data Lakes.
  • Advanced SQL skills (joins and aggregations) and working knowledge of NoSQL databases.
  • Significant experience with statistical data analysis and the ability to determine the appropriate tools and data patterns for analysis.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Private Cloud.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • AWS Certification.
  • Experience with Data Bricks.
