About the Role

Your primary responsibility will involve designing and building cloud-native components to enhance our real-time risk calculation and viewing infrastructure. Accurate and timely risk calculation is crucial to the equities derivatives business.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with a focus on innovative approaches.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that synchronize with appropriate systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by the developed software code.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize data to create visualizations and reports that support continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using these insights to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
• Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced knowledge of Python and associated web frameworks such as Starlette and Tornado.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languages.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
• Expertise in software applications and technical processes within domains like cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Exposure to big data frameworks like Apache Spark.
• Experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Domain knowledge indicative of progress towards CFA/FRM certifications.
