What You'll Do:

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Meta, you will:

• Lead significant projects, defining the scope and setting technical direction to influence our engineering culture and achieve ML excellence.
• Adapt standard ML methodologies to optimize performance in cutting-edge parallel computing environments.
• Reassess and refine existing ML features and systems, minimizing technical debt and innovating based on foundational principles.
• Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools using advanced machine learning, data regression, and rule-based models.
• Work alongside some of the world's foremost engineers and researchers to tackle extensive and intriguing problems in social data and prediction analytics.
• Drive development from conceptualization to implementation, impacting Meta's array of services and products directly.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 6 years of experience in software engineering, or 4+ years with a PhD. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, or similar fields.
• Proficiency in developing and debugging in C/C++, Java, or scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, or shell scripts.
• Proven ability to lead teams technically, defining projects and driving technical decisions.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
