Job Responsibilities
- Implement software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting with innovative approaches to solve complex problems.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met during software development.
- Gather, analyze, and develop visualizations and reports from diverse, large data sets for continuous software application and system improvements.
- Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies.
- Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
- Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
- Hands-on experience with Data Pipelines and large-scale data sets in Spark.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Spark and Python.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid grasp of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within disciplines like cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- Exposure to cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP) through hands-on experience or certification.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Experience with lake house platforms such as Databricks.
- Exposure to data validation platforms.
