About the Sr. Azure Data Analyst Position

This is a remote, contract-based opportunity for professionals in the Healthcare Insurance Industry. As a Sr. Azure Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in building Business Intelligence solutions. Your focus will include gathering, interpreting, analyzing, and visualizing complex datasets to drive insightful, data-driven decision-making within our organization. A deep knowledge of Machine-readable Files (MRF) is crucial as it supports Pricing Information solutions under the Transparency in Coverage (TiC) Final Rule.

Expertise in PowerBI, Azure, Snowflake, and Healthcare Insurance is mandatory. The successful candidate will operate within an Agile environment, aiding in architecture, design, implementation, and testing of advanced business intelligence initiatives.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in data analytics focusing on business intelligence, data visualization, and large-scale data project deliveries within the Healthcare Insurance sector.
• Proven experience with Microsoft technologies including Azure, Power BI, and SQL Server.
• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Power BI Data Analyst, and SnowPro Advanced Data Analyst.

Required Skills/Competencies

You should possess advanced capabilities in data quality analysis, business insights, data visualization in PowerBI, and strong SQL skills for handling complex datasets. A good understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, programming in Python, and data cleansing/transformation is essential. Strong analytical skills are necessary to translate data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Data collection, modeling, cleaning, and preprocessing to support business requirements and analytical layers.
• Apply statistical, analytical methods to test hypothesis, identify data patterns, and provide business insights.
• Design, build, and maintain interactive visual representations of data to communicate effectively to stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity while performing quality checks and validation procedures.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide analytical support, and contribute to data-driven business solutions.
