Job Profile: Sr. Data Scientist

Join our dynamic Data Science team as a Sr. Data Scientist. Reporting to the Lead Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in the development and implementation of advanced analytical solutions, including machine learning and artificial intelligence frameworks. This role is part of the Intelligent Automation and Data Analytics department and offers a hybrid work option.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data mining and analysis to uncover trends and correlations supporting operational and strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with customers and colleagues to extract meaning and interpretation from data sets.
  • Develop expertise across Cox data sources to connect business processes to data-driven insights.
  • Identify and incorporate 3rd party/external data sources into analytical projects.
  • Translate business requirements into data science products and solutions.
  • Create clear and understandable data visualizations.
  • Manage end-to-end data science projects.
  • Enhance the data science team’s capabilities with innovative ideas and best practices.
  • Utilize tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Azure to create data science assets and automations.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in data science.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, and cloud analytics environments (Azure, AWS).
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, interpersonal, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, economics, or quantitative sciences.
  • Experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning or AI.
  • Experience with building, deploying, or managing solutions leveraging LLMs.
  • Experience in agile delivery methodology.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position includes a base salary ranging from $97,100.00 to $161,800.00, which may vary based on the location and the candidate’s qualifications. Additional compensation may include incentives. Cox offers eligible employees flexible vacation options, paid holidays, and up to 160 hours of wellness leave annually, alongside other forms of paid time off.
