About the Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Team

As a core hub of data science expertise at CIBC, the Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (AA&AI) team leads through deploying best practices in GenAI, predictive science, and machine learning. We utilize massive datasets and modern modeling platforms, striving to deliver impactful solutions that enhance client service. Your role as a Senior Data Scientist within AA&AI will involve collaborating with business partners to tackle challenging problems and create measurable value through innovative data solutions.

How You’ll Succeed

• Data Science Expertise: Leveraging your knowledge in statistics, machine learning, and optimization, you will frame and solve business problems in a data science context and build modular, reliable, maintainable, and replicable data products.
• Consulting Mindset: You are expected to communicate complex concepts in simple, eloquent ways and work intimately with business partners to deeply understand their challenges and address them proficiently.
• Team Player: In your role, you will collaborate with data experts to explore and manipulate data, creating engineered features that contribute to robust data science products.

Who You Are

You are a professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in analytics, data science, and AI engineering, with extensive knowledge in:

• Programming in Python
• Data science libraries like Mat Plot Lib, Pandas, scikit-learn, and XGBoost
• GenAI frameworks like LangChain/LangSmith/LlamaIndex
• ML/AI frameworks like TensorFlow, Pytorch, and MLFlow

You thrive on leading projects, enjoy the dynamics of team collaboration, and are committed to continuous learning and improvement. Your strong communication skills help you articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
