About the Role

As the first Sr. Data Scientist at Rula, you’ll have the opportunity to help millions of patients find the right therapist. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Provider, and Patient teams to design, execute, and interpret experiments focused on patient clinical improvement, retention, provider expansion, and more. This role tackles the most unique, ambiguous, and significant business challenges at Rula, contributing both to our growth and the millions of individuals seeking mental health solutions.

Required Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field with a strong quantitative foundation.
• 8+ years of experience in data science within marketing, analytics, product, or engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in building algorithms and making algorithmic recommendations for business optimization.
• 4+ years of experience with A/B testing, including experiment design, deployment, and results interpretation.
• Advanced technical expertise with scripting languages (Python or R), SQL, and at least one visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, Hex, etc.).
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders within Product, Business, and Engineering teams.

• Proven ability to advance company-wide A/B testing capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in NLP, large language models, and/or generative AI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on presentation skills and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
