We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist or Data Analyst with a strong focus on Business Intelligence to join our dynamic team at Nissan Motor Corporation in Mexico City. The ideal candidate will leverage data to drive business insights, inform strategic decisions, and improve operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Interpretation

Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.

Business Intelligence Reporting

Develop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders.

Data Management

Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security.

Collaboration

Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, operations, and IT to understand data needs and deliver insights that drive business outcomes.

Strategic Planning

Provide data-driven recommendations and strategies to senior management to enhance business performance.

Tool Development

Develop and implement tools and frameworks to automate data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.

Training and Support

Train and support team members and stakeholders in using BI tools and interpreting data insights.

Predictive Analytics

Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to forecast future trends and behaviors.

Required Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (a Master’s degree is preferred).

Certifications in relevant tools and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Google Data Studio) are desirable.

Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

Certification in machine learning or data analysis (e.g., Coursera, edX, or equivalent) is a plus.

Experience and Skills

Years of Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, or a related field.

Proven experience in developing and managing BI solutions and analytical frameworks.

Demonstrated experience in predictive modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis.

Prior experience working in a corporate or business environment, understanding of business processes and decision-making.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL), and statistical software (R, Python, SAS) is a must.
